ENGLISH LANGUAGE RESOURCE CENTER
The English Language Resource Center of the U.S. Embassy in Luanda was created to serve as a library where English teachers can research teaching methods and find new materials to use in their classrooms. Therefore, the Center's books are only available for use on-site. The collection includes a wide variety of themes and topics, such as:
Didactic and authentic materials (such as magazines and newspapers from the U.S.)
Exercise and work books
Grammar guides
American literature and culture
American government, economy and history
American idioms
Listening, speaking, reading and writing
English for specific purposes (business, Internet, science, etc.)

This Center also maintains a list of English teachers in Angola in order to infom them of events sponsored by the U.S. Embassy for teachers of English, including workshops that occur twice per year. If you are interested in adding your name to this list, please contact us via email, indicating your name, institutional affiliation and address and other contact information.
The English Language Resource Center is located in the Public Affairs Section and is open by appointment only from Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The Center is closed all official United States and Angolan holidays.
