The Consular Section
The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Angola provides assistance and services to American citizens in Angola as well as visa services for residents of Angola.
The major component of the State Department's consular work in Angola, under the direction of the Vice Consul, is providing services to American citizens, including disseminating personal security information pertaining to living in or visiting the consular district.
The Department of State maintains a Consular Information Sheet with useful information for visitors to Angola.
In addition to applications for passport issuance and renewal, notarials, birth certificates and processing of nationality acquisition requests, the Consular Section provides general information on legalization of documents. It also provides tax forms and forms to obtain voting ballots, and handles forms for some Social Security procedures.
The Consular Section has developed a Welcome Packet for Americans traveling to Angola as well as Information for Business Travelers.
